BesCutter Laser Cleaning Solutions from Laser Solutions Midwest

Welcome to Laser Solutions Midwest, home of Bescutter laser cleaning machines. All Bescutter machines are manufactured to industrial quality specifications with one or two-year warranties. Laser Solutions Midwest is a regional distributor for all your laser cleaning needs. These services include machine rentals, mobile laser cleaning services, machine sales and accessories. This three-minute video highlights the use of laser cleaning technology for many of today’s industrial and commercial needs.

Laser cleaning machines are comprised of pulsed lasers, typically 500-watts and below and continuous lasers ranging from 1500-watts to 3000-watts. All units are portable and carry either a one- or two-year warranty. Online diagnostics, parts and service, training, and application advice are available in Houston, TX and Atlanta, GA. Laser cleaning accessories such as safety glasses, battery powered air-cooled helmets, dust extractors, and other safety related equipment are also offered.

Bescutter laser cleaners are furnished with a digital display on the base unit for various settings. Settings are adjusted relative to the cleaning that is to be performed. Larger watt cleaners are also supplied with an enclosed water chiller to maintain the laser head temperature. All of the light-weight laser heads or guns are designed with an air blast nozzle to remove the “spent dust” from the working area and enhance cleaning productivity.

Each laser cleaner is supplied with 30 feet of flexible industrial strength working cable. The “focal length” which is a measurement from the laser head or gun to the workpiece is approximately 18 inches or less on pulsed lasers. Whereas the focal length on continuous laser machines is 2-to-3-feet in length. All machines use a 100% duty cycle and are virtually maintenance-free with only a simple periodic lense change being a requirement. Operating costs in most regions which include both electric and compressed air are less than one dollar per hour.

Laser cleaning is considered a new green technology that provides an attractive alternative to abrasive blasting, vapor blasting, wire wheel brushing, abrasive disc and dry ice cleaning. The principle of laser technology relies on separating the surface contaminants such as rust, grease, oil, paint, powder coat or adhesives from the substrates such as steel, aluminum, brass or copper. This is achieved by the laser beam’s intense heat generated from the gun. The laser beam expands the surface containment and separates it from the substrate. The intense heat also turns the contaminant into a gas, then into dust which is then blown away by the air nozzle. The beam width is variable from 30 to 300mm.

Laser cleaning’s no contact, non-abrasive media technology offers high productivity, eliminates abrasive dust, and minimizes operator fatigue. This technology also dramatically reduces compressed air equipment investments and compressed air consumption that is required by abrasive blasting. Bescutter laser cleaners can also be easily integrated with robotics or other production line requirements.
